The term narcissist seems to get tossed around a bit these days. People who may demonstrate selfishness or a sense of entitlement may incorrectly be labeled as such. In my conversation with today's guest, we get an inside look at what true narcissism looks like as well as the toll it can have on family members.
Unable to continue living under the same roof with her husband, Christelle found the courage she needed to end her marriage and begin a new life for her and her three children. She had to learn to be self sufficient as a single mom of three growing boys while dealing with the aftermath of the trauma caused by an abusive marriage.

Whether you are a parent or not, the way in which you live your life is impacting others. As parents, we can never be perfect and we're not expected to even try. What we can do, however, is be aware of the decisions we make and the lifestyle that we choose to live and to consider how it impacts our children and other loved ones.
Whether it is your physical health, marriage or relationship, financial status, stability, or mental health, there is always room for evaluation and improvement. It is so important for all of us to lead lives that we and our children can be proud of and that can be modeled for generations to come.

We're so used to hearing the terms 'self care' and 'self love' but what does that really mean? I like to think about this as being well from within. How do we address this?
In this episode, I share the idea that each of us is the main character in our own story and we are writing it every day by the decisions we make.
What is happening within us? How is our mental, emotional, and spiritual health? It's time to address these core qualities and to make a decision on whether we will stay here and spiral downward OR take action to be well. Either way, we get to decide and we should be committed to whatever results come from those decisions.

Most people don't realize the power they truly have over their thought life. They also don't realize that a single thought can lead to their ultimate joy or pain.
