When tragedy strikes, it rarely makes sense. Today on the show, I’m talking to my friend, Carrie Foster, who shares her personal story of loss and trauma and how she managed to find her way to a life of peace and freedom in a way she never knew existed.
Through the love and support of others mixed with a determination of her own, Carrie walks us through her journey of truly discovering her purpose in life and making sense of the pain she had to endure in order to be where she is today. Hey there! What do you think of when you hear the word 'success? Good job, financial security, strong marriage/family, etc.? The truth is, most of us look at the REWARDS of success as success itself, but in reality, we are successful long before any of those things come about.
Today, I have three children (two of whom are independent adults) who I enjoy loving and respectful relationships with. Am I a successful parent now that they are well-rounded and independent adults, or was I successful every day that I spent raising, teaching, loving, and investing in them?

God tells us so many things about ourselves in the bible and if you know God, you know He does not exaggerate or lie. He tells us to be strong and courageous, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, that we are to be the light, and a thousand more truths and promises.
If you want to change the pattern of your thoughts and ultimately your life, you'll want to practice affirmations on a daily basis. In just 30 seconds a day, you can fill your mind with positive statements that will transform your life.

If there is one thing we all have in common, it's that WE GETTIN' OLD out here! Every day, our little cells grow larger and larger and pretty soon, they slow down their ability to divide and multiply, which for you and me means one thing: AGING.
While aging is a gift because it means God has given us another day of life, it's not always so enjoyable. Between new wrinkles, poor eyesight ,and achy joints, aging can be downright annoying.
But, it's a fact of life and one that we should all embrace...or at least die trying. Tune in to listen to Barbara's aging woes and her perspective on this whole getting old business.
